Your journey begins to Wayanad (Vythiri), the green paradise and a bio diverse region, perched on the lofty Western Ghats and one of the very few places in the state that has been able to retain its pristine nature. It’s a popular hill station that has earned the reputation for having vast areas of spice plantations, thick jungles and rich cultural traditions. It’s an excellent tourist spot for tourists and as you make your way to the hill station, you get the chance to catch the spectacular greenery of the Valley and the picturesque forests surrounding you. Day 02: Vythri Sightseeing: Edakkal Caves, Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, Meenmutty Waterfall, Sentinel Rock Waterfall
After a nice breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to catch the austere beauty of Vythiri and the surrounding places. The best way to start off would be a visit to the famed Edakkal Caves, located at a height of 1000 m on Ambukuthymala. The natural representations made by Neolithic Celts on these walls were first identified by a British man on a hunting trip. The drawings are believed to be more than 3000 years old and are a truly remarkable place to be in. You could also visit sights like the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, the Meenmutty Waterfall or even the Sentinel Rock Waterfall, known locally as the Soochipara (needle rock). The pool at the foot of the waterfalls is ideal for a quick dip and is truly one of the most attractive falls in the district. You could visit Ambalavayal Heritage Museum or visit the town of Sultan Bathery as well. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 03: Vythiri- Kappad- 80kms- 3hrs drive, Experience Kappad Beach
Breakfast & Check out
Your Journey Begins to Kappad. After a breakfast and check out at the hotel it’s time to begin the next leg of your journey at the Kappad. This historic beach is the spot where Vasco da Gama landed on the 27th May, 1498 with nearly 170 men in three vessels. Locally known as Kappakadavu, there is a monument on the beach that commemorates this historic event. An interesting feature of the landscape is the sprawling rocky headland which protrudes into the sea on which rests an 800 year old temple .The inviting sands of Kappad Beach with its fascinating rock formations on the either side are really a perfect place for the impulse of every beach lover. Without the jarring banners and neon lit signs that beckon visitors to the place or even the usual cacophony of peddlers and the multitude of visitors who jostle for a bit of space, Kappad is a laidback and undisturbed place to be in. Day 04: Kappad- Elathur- Cheekilode Village Sightseeing
After a breakfast at the resort, it’s time to explore what else the place has to offer for tourists.You could visit the Sri Mahaganapathi Temple located in the area or even check out the Korapuzha better known as Elathur. It’s the point where the River meets the Arabian Sea and lies to the north of Kappad. You could hire a country boat for a ride on the river and check out the shellfish or kallumekaya found abundantly on the rocks jutting out to the sea. Another place to check out is the Cheekilode Village, located in the proximity of Kappad. The small village houses a number of temples and mosques. If time permits, you could also visit the Beypore Fort, located at the mouth of the Chaliyar River, one of the most prominent ports and maritime trading centers of ancient Kerala.

Day 05: Last minute shopping followed by departure from Kozhikode
After a nice breakfast at the resort and check out by 10 am, it’s time to bid adieu to Kappad. If time permits, you could go shopping for savories and sweets at SM Street or for other souvenirs at Kozhikode town. After that it is time to depart to Karipur Airport or Calicut Railway station for your journey back home.
